Loads of Rangers fans have been revelling in the aftermath of the signing of Ryan Kent, and they have some particularly funny responses to a club tweet asking how many times fans refreshed the Gers’ Twitter page on Monday evening.

“Rangers FC can tonight confirm the mutual termination of striker Joe Dodoo’s contract.”

We wonder how many times Rangers fans read those words on Monday night.

That was the last tweet from the club before the announcement of Kent, and the lateness of the winger’s announcement left fans absolutely desperate.

Indeed, the replies to the news that Dodoo had left the club are filled with comments like “you think you’re funny don’t ye” and “you’re getting on my nerves Rangers”.

The club eventually confirmed the permanent capture of Kent from Liverpool, as last season’s PFA Young Player of the Year comes to Ibrox on a four-year deal.

Kent grabbed six goals and nine assists last term, and his direct style and fantastic one-on-one dribbling ability endeared him to the fans.

It is then perhaps unsurprising that the Ibrox faithful were so ridiculously desperate for his announcement on Monday night, and the Gers’ cheeky tweet in reference to that has generated some hilarious replies.
