Evertonrevealed the club’s new 2017/18 Umbro home shirt on Tuesday night, and there was a slightly surprising prominent role for midfielder Ross Barkley.

The Toffees star is continuing to be linked with a move away from Goodison Park after so far failing to extend his current contract which runs out next summer, with manager Ronald Koeman stating last week that he has until the end of this week to decide whether he is going to sign a new deal or not.

If he doesn’t the Merseyside outfit will sell him at the end of the season, but according to reports in The Telegraph on Wednesday they will demand a £50m fee if they are to sell the England international.

Everton supporters were quick to have their say on the images and video via social media, with many believing it would be strange to include him in a ‘TogetherBlue’ campaign if they knew he was leaving.
