Antoine Griezmann is one of the finest forwards currently plying their trade in Europe’s top leagues and the French striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League during recent transfer windows.
With the January window now wide open, those links are likely to resurface and the Atletico Madrid forward was clearly unhappy to discuss his future when questioned by the media about links to Manchester United.
Despite only recently signing a contract extension, links on Griezmann’s future continue to surface and he snapped when questioned about it recently. Quoted by The Telegraph, Griezmann said:
“I don’t like these questions about my future. Players like Cristiano [Ronaldo], [Lionel] Messi or [Gareth] Bale are not always asked what is going to happen next year, where they will be, or who they will play for. So I don’t like that when I get asked it.”
“I am happy and enjoying myself at Atletico, I am proud to play for these fans, with these teammates, with this coach. Don’t ask me any more about my future.”
With Griezmann and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba very close, a move to Manchester United would seemingly fit the bill perfectly but Griezmann is tied down to Atletico until 2021 and it would take a huge amount of money to see him leave.
